What is Reflexology?

Reflexology Reflexology has been around for quite some time and can be traced back to ancient Egypt, China, and the native tribes of America. It is a gentle, extremely popular and effective form of therapeutic foot massage.

In reflexology, the hands are used to apply firm or gentle pressure to the feet.

The therapist adapts the pressure on each point of the foot according to the request and needs of the patient.

For each person the application and effect of the therapy is unique. On the reflexology training course, I was taught to detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points, blockages can be released and the free flow of energy can be restored to the whole body. Tensions are eased and the circulation and elimination of waste and toxins are improved and attuned.

Reflexology gently encourages the body to heal itself at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse.
